Welcome to Hooman. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Hooman website (hooman.in), mobile application, and all related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Hooman ("we", "our", "us").

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Service.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Hooman. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under it. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

We are a platform, not a provider. Hooman connects you with independent veterinary clinics, grooming centers, pet stores, and other service providers. We do not employ these providers. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or any other aspect of the services or products provided by third parties listed on our platform.

Any disputes regarding services booked through Hooman should be resolved directly with the service provider. We will make reasonable efforts to assist in resolution but are not liable for third-party actions.

Hooman does not provide veterinary medical advice. Information on our platform, including health records, vaccination reminders, and weight tracking, is for informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified veterinarian for any questions regarding your pet's health.

In an emergency, contact your nearest emergency veterinary clinic directly. The SOS Bork feature helps you find nearby emergency vets but does not replace calling a vet.

You retain ownership of content you submit (reviews, photos, pet information). By submitting content, you grant Hooman a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content in connection with the Service.

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or is inappropriate, without prior notice.

8. Bookings and Payments

When you book a service through Hooman, you enter into an agreement with the service provider, not with Hooman. Cancellation policies are set by individual service providers. We display these policies during the booking process.

Payment processing (when available) is handled by secure third-party payment processors. Hooman does not store your full payment card details.

9. Waitlist

Joining the Hooman waitlist does not guarantee access to the Service. Waitlist position may be used to determine early access priority. We reserve the right to modify the waitlist program at any time.

10. Intellectual Property

The Hooman name, logo (snoot), brand language (Snoot Doctor, Floof Studio, Mlem Market, Pawfile, SOS Bork, Chimken Deals, etc.), design, and all original content are the intellectual property of Hooman. You may not use, copy, or reproduce our trademarks or content without our written permission.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Hooman shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damages arising from your use of third-party services booked through our platform.

Our total liability for any claims related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Hooman (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hooman, its founders, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
